What is the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program? IMG_7320

The Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides checks to women, infants and children through the Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) and to eligible seniors for the purchase of produce at farmers’ markets. The FMNP is also intended to expand sales at farmers’ markets.

New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Webinar Training

The NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets has updated their schedule for the webinar training session for the FreshConnect Checks Program and and the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP).  The FreshConnect and FMNP trainings are now being offered as pre-recorded webinars (as well as live)!

FMNP Training Requirement: Farmers that complete the FMNP training will satisfy the training requirement for new farmers in the FMNP.
